Dr. Asaf Babaev was born in Baku, Azerbaijan and spent his childhood living in Israel before migrating to the United States. As well as English, he is fluent in Russian and Hebrew. He realized his passion for animals at a young age while noticing stray dogs in his hometown following him around every day.

Dr. Babaev graduated with a degree in finance and investments before continuing on as a commodities broker on Wall Street, in New York City. Not long after, he realized his passion for animals could not be suppressed, so he proceeded to pursue his dream of becoming a veterinarian. Dr. Babaev is a graduate of Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine. His interests include surgery, preventative care, dermatology, and pain management.

During his free time, Dr. Babaev enjoys the great outdoors, scuba diving, traveling, and cooking.
